Poetry response: Words (Amirdha)

Words

Big, small

Written, spoken

Effortless yet powerful

Beautiful yet ugly

Abused yet empowered

Different words, different impacts

Same meaning, same hits

An army, a protector, an offence

Blind until given sight and target

100% effective, can be used for all purposes

Forgetting footnotes, no guidance or remembrance

100% open to interpretation, yet so honest in purpose

One is powerful, two or more is a fortress

Defends rights, the heart, the human

Offends the weak, the corrupt

A communication of the heart

A way to seek help

Yet a mystery, the true meaning unknown

So wait…wait…wait…

For fewer words,

For simple words

Never misspelled, Never misread, never misunderstood

Malleable like graphite but indestructible like diamond

Second nature, a nurturer

Should be grown, should always be right

For if the wrong mouth speaks, all will be lost

From the right one, hope awakens

(inspired from Alphabets that Fib from ‘Beef’ by Nurul Amillin Hussain)
